IT Systems Engineer for Linux Server & Container Platforms

Job Description:

• Ensuring the ongoing operation of the heterogeneous server infrastructure (patch management, security, standardization, automation)
• Optimization and further development of the Linux server infrastructure and container environment (Red Hat OpenShift)
• Support and implementation of IT projects
• Evaluation and implementation of new technologies in the context of an enterprise server infrastructure
• Third-level support and handling of escalation cases within the IT support organization
• Participation in on-call duty to ensure high availability of IT services

Requirements Profile:

• Completed education (HTL; FH; Uni) with a focus on computer science, business informatics, or comparable
• Several years of professional experience as an IT administrator, ideally in a corporate environment
• Sound knowledge in the administration of Linux server platforms
• Experience with modern technologies (Kubernetes, Configuration Management, etc.) is an advantage
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) is an advantage
• Experience in virtualization environments with VmWare, as well as good general technical understanding (WN, LAN, Security)
• Knowledge of IT operating processes according to ITIL
• Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
• Problem-solving skills
• Goal-oriented and structured way of working as well as initiative
• Teamwork skills

Compensation:

The minimum salary ranges between € 3,330 and € 4,270 gross/month - depending on education; an overpayment will be agreed upon depending on education and professional experience.
