About the role
Arnold Machine Inc. designs and manufactures high-quality, customized automated equipment. We are looking for a motivated and innovative IT Systems Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating with employees to resolve advanced IT challenges. This on-site position offers the opportunity to provide expert technical support while enhancing AI-driven tools and systems, supporting ERP and system integrations, and utilizing Power BI for reporting and insights on key IT projects. You will develop automations and AI-assisted solutions to drive efficiency, working closely with internal teams and external partners. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you will focus on hands-on problem-solving and tool development while also handling daily help desk and system administration tasks managed by our MSP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escalation & Emergency Support: Quickly respond to urgent or escalated IT issues on-site, executing immediate fixes and working with the MSP for more complex problems.
- Project & Implementation Support: Aid in IT deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects, including device preparation, testing, documentation, project coordination, and collaboration with MSP engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Enterprise Applications Support: Deliver support for Syteline ERP, CADLink/engineering integrations, and reporting tools, assisting with user troubleshooting, workflow guidance, upgrade testing, data sync issue resolution, vendor coordination, and access management.
- Automation & AI Tool Development: Create and support internal tools, scripts, and workflows using Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, or related technologies with AI capabilities, while identifying automation opportunities and maintaining documentation for solutions.
- Security & Compliance Support: Ensure compliance of automation and AI tools with security standards by supporting MFA checks, device compliance validation, access reviews, and maintaining audit documentation.
- Documentation & Coordination: Keep system procedures, application documentation, and knowledge bases current, providing context to MSPs and vendors, while supporting governance, asset validation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while contributing to a cross-functional team, building strong relationships, and ensuring quality and accuracy in your work.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of IT support or technical experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in Windows 11 and Microsoft 365, with a basic understanding of Azure/Entra ID concepts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Syteline), CADLink, and reporting tools.
- Basic scripting or development skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar, along with experience using AI tools for technical solutions.
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and effective multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear documentation and a positive, adaptable attitude.
