About the role

JOB PURPOSE:

Write and review technical materials, such as manuals, appendices, or instructions. May assist in layout work.

CORE DUTIES:

  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, online accessibility, and terminology.
  • Design and format publications, and coordinate printing and distribution of technical documents.
  • Develop web or print content that complies with department and university standards.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Monitor and resolve HelpSU tickets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent writing and grammar skills in addition to relevant technical knowledge.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Good working knowledge of content management systems such as Drupal.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Adobe Creative tools.
