IT Technical Writer

Clearance Requirements

This position requires a current and active Secret Clearance at the time of application.

What you will be doing:

This Person shall develop, write, and edit materials for reports, manuals, briefs, technical specifications, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures. Specifically, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Wiki, GitLab Technical Writing and UI text.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize staff requests, and set expectations.
• Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional correspondence.
• Self-sufficient and resourceful, and able to work independently and take overseership of the project.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of IT concepts, ability to translate into technical software documentation.

Education :

• AA/AS from an accredited college or university
• or substitute with 3+ years experience.

Certifications :

• b. Require anyone of the following IAT Level I (A+ CE, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security) and CE/OS Certification.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary would be required.
