Software Engineer - IVR (Genesys)

About the Role

We are hiring a Software Engineer - IVR (Genesys) to join our client's contact center technology team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most innovative financial services organizations in the U.S. You'll help drive the development of scalable, high-performance self-service solutions that enhance customer experience through advanced voice automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance IVR (Interactive Voice Response) applications using modern engineering practices
• Build and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring, and related technologies
• Develop and support speech-enabled IVR solutions using Genesys or similar platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions aligned with business objectives
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure high system availability and performance
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best development practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring framework
• Experience with IVR technologies, preferably Genesys or similar platforms
• Knowledge of VXML (Voice XML), JavaScript, or Groovy
• Experience working with speech-enabled applications
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or OpenShift is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
