Java Backend Developer

Job Title: Java Backend Developer Location: NYC RTTO - 5 Days Onsite Contract Position Overview We are seeking a Strong Java Developer with hands-on experience in API development , microservices architecture , and cloud-native solution design . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality backend services that support scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and related frameworks. • Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support front-end and third-party integrations. • Develop distributed, scalable microservices that align with system architecture and best practices. • Implement cloud-native designs using modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, DevOps, and QA to deliver reliable and robust features. • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement activities. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments. • Write clear and maintainable code following industry standards and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming. • Hands-on experience with REST API development . • Solid understanding of microservices architecture using Spring Boot or similar frameworks. • Experience in cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling. • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile development environment.
