You’ll join a high‑performing engineering group that builds mission‑critical, event‑driven platforms for the SWIFT / Payments / Trade / Settlement domain. Our stack is modern, cloud‑native, and built for scale, reliability, and low‑latency processing of financial messages.

What You’ll Do

Responsibility	Details
Design & develop	Build robust, high‑performance services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration.
Data modeling & persistence	Write efficient, production‑grade SQL for Oracle (or compatible) databases; tune queries and indexes for large‑volume transaction data.
Event‑driven architecture	Implement asynchronous pipelines with Kafka and/or IBM MQ; design producers, consumers, and stream processing logic.
Testing & quality	Create automated unit, integration, and contract tests using JUnit and Cucumber; enforce test‑driven development practices.
CI/CD & DevOps	Maintain pipelines in GitLab CI, automate builds, deployments, and roll‑backs; monitor build health and release metrics.
Domain expertise	Gain deep knowledge of SWIFT, payments, trade, and settlement processes; translate business rules into clean code.
Collaboration	Work closely with product owners, architects, QA, and operations to deliver features on schedule and with high reliability.
Mentorship & code reviews	Provide technical guidance to junior engineers; champion clean‑code standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Must‑Have	Details
Java	5+ years of professional experience with Java 17 (or newer) and the Spring ecosystem.
Spring Boot / Spring Integration	Hands‑on development of microservices, REST APIs, and integration flows.
SQL / Oracle	Strong relational‑database skills; ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and performance‑tune them.
CI/CD	Experience building pipelines in GitLab CI (or similar).
Testing	Proficient with JUnit and Cucumber (or other BDD frameworks).
Messaging	Working knowledge of Kafka and/or IBM MQ; designing producers/consumers and handling back‑pressure.
Event‑driven design	Understanding of event sourcing, pub/sub patterns, and eventual consistency.
Domain knowledge	Familiarity with SWIFT, payments, trade, or settlement processes is a strong plus.
Collaboration tools	Git, JIRA, Confluence, and agile ceremonies (scrum/k Kanban).

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of other relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL stores.
