At Sound & Vision, our ICT department - Victorie - oversees the entire IT infrastructure that powers our organization. From the interactive museum experience to our cutting-edge media asset management and archiving system, we ensure that the rich content of Dutch public broadcasters is preserved and made accessible for generations to come.
Our responsibilities also include the digitization pipeline, equipped with high-end film scanning and editing technologies.

Backend Developer Java Developer (40 hours per week)
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, and implement backend solutions for applications.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code.
- Optimize infrastructure performance.
- Streamline development processes.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create systems supporting the mission of connecting people with media and culture.
Our offer
- Gross monthly salary (full-time): €4,295.11 - €6,135.90 (scale 11 CAO Beeld & Geluid).
- First contract is one year with possibility of extension.
- 25 vacation days and 24 atv-days per year (full-time).
- Cafeteria model allowing vacation days to be used for purchases like electric bike or laptop or travel.
- Hybrid working: flexible schedule including home working and commuting expense allowances.
Who are you?
- 5 - 7 years of experience with Java 17, Spring (Boot), Hibernate, Elasticsearch, SQL, IntelliJ IDEA, TDD.
- Able to design solutions from scratch for diverse problems.
- Interested in DevOps methodologies.
- Scrum experience is a strong plus.
- Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in coding and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
