Java Developer, AWS

Role Overview

As a Java Developer with 3 to 6 years of experience, your main scope of work will involve developing and unit testing components/services in Java and AWS. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing necessary components, unit testing, bug fixing, integration testing, and providing UAT support. Additionally, you will be identifying and rectifying performance issues in the developed components/systems.

• Develop components following best practices, be proactive, and ready to deliver with minimal assistance.
• Contribute effectively to design and architecting activities.
• Be a problem solver and willing to tackle any issue that arises.
• Create documentation, monitor logs, and resolve issues.
• Understand and embrace core values such as Transparency, Accountability, Generosity, Fun, Empathy, and Exceptionalism.

Qualifications Required

Essential Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Java 1.8, Java Spring framework, and Spring-Boot.
• Ability to develop REST Microservices in Spring-Boot.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Insomnia, and SOAP UI for testing web services.
• Knowledge of Spring JMS, GIT/BitBucket, DynamoDB, Cloud Watch, AWS SQS, and SNS.
• Working knowledge of AWS services like S3, API Gateway, and Parameter Store.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of SOAP web services and Spring Cloud.
• Experience working with cloud-based backend systems and distributed global teams.
• Familiarity with Jira and good client communication skills.
