Our client is one of the hedge funds globally, and we are hiring for a Java Developer to be based in the New York office. The ideal Java Developer will have proven experience building and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading applications that support the trading desks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain execution and order management systems using Java.
• Optimize application performance for low-latency and high-throughput trading environments.
• Integrate with market data feeds, FIX gateways, and internal pricing engines.
• Ensure system reliability and scalability through robust testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning in Java.
• Professional experience in Java development, preferably in the financial industry
• Familiarity with trading system architecture, including execution engines, OMS, and market data handlers.
