Java Software Engineer (m/w/d) – Mission Support Systems

About Us

Your mission: You will work on modern mission support systems for aircraft platforms, which are used directly in operational mission planning and evaluation. The systems enable the planning of complex missions before flight as well as detailed analysis after the mission. You will process large amounts of data and work on highly integrated, safety-critical software systems. We are looking for a Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) – Mission Support Systems to join an interdisciplinary team and actively shape and further develop our software architecture.

Your Responsibilities

• You develop and maintain mission support systems for aircraft platforms
• You implement functions for the preparation and planning of missions before flight
• You develop solutions for the analysis and evaluation of mission data after flight
• You align operational customer requirements with the technical capabilities of the systems
• You work on high-performance IT systems and modern software applications
• You integrate new functions into existing system landscapes

Your Profile

• You have at least 3 years of experience in software development
• You have very good knowledge of Java
• You have experience with the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF)
• You are proficient in using Git and SQL

Additional Skills (Helpful)

• Experience with Maven, Hibernate, Flyway, Eclipse RCP, or JavaFX is an advantage
• Knowledge of QF-Test or Luciad Lightspeed is a plus
• Initial experience in the aviation or mission systems environment rounds off your profile
