Risk Analyst

About

We are recruiting a Risk Analyst for a leading corporate entity in Bellville, Western Cape. You will oversee the full financial management function including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, tax planning, and consolidated financial statements. A qualified accounting professional with strong commercial acumen is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modelling to support business cases for capital investments, acquisitions, and new ventures.
• Manage cash flow and working capital effectively, including preparing cash flow forecasts and managing banking relationships.
• Develop annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts, monitoring performance and providing variance analysis with detailed commentary.
• Oversee preparation and presentation of accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and board reports.
• Ensure full compliance with all tax legislation and regulatory requirements, managing preparation and submission of all tax returns.

Requirements

• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen to understand the broader context of financial decisions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Microsoft Excel including building integrated three-statement models.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• A professional accounting or finance qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognised designation.
