About us

We ara a Canadian-owned translation agency specializing in corporate communications, including finance, legal, marketing materials, point-of-sale displays, packaging and labelling, employee training manuals, websites, and contest rules and regulations.

The role

We are looking for a detail-oriented junior project manager to support the coordination, tracking, and delivery of translation projects. This is primarily a project management role, with a focus on client communication, file coordination, timelines, workflow management, quality checks, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable managing multiple moving pieces, and familiar with translation or localization workflows. English-French language skills are important, but the main responsibility is project coordination rather than translation.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate translation, editing, and proofreading projects from intake to delivery
  • Review incoming client requests and help confirm scope, timelines, files, and requirements
  • Communicate with clients, translators, revisers, and internal team members
  • Track project deadlines, priorities, and workflow status
  • Prepare files for translation and delivery
  • Work with memoQ and other CAT-tool-based workflows
  • Review deliverables for completeness, formatting, consistency, and client instructions
  • Support quoting, project setup, handoffs, and follow-ups
  • Help maintain organized project records, emails, files, and instructions
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with client expectations

What we’re looking for

  • Strong project coordination, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Fluency in English and French, written and verbal
  • Previous experience in translation, localization, or translation project management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with memoQ or other CAT tools is an asset
  • Familiarity with AI tools in translation or project workflows is an asset
  • Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working remotely
  • Fast learner with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and vendors

This is a remote contract role. Hours are flexible and may vary depending on project volume.
