Junior Accountant with German Proficient

• *Job Description:**

The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, focusing on the accurate recording of financial transactions relating to debits, credits, general ledger postings, inter company billing, and bank reconciliations. • *Key Responsibilities:** • **Posting Transactions:**

Record daily financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and in compliance with company policies. • **Full AR and AP management –**

Professional communication with customers and vendors via shared mailbox. Follow up with customers regarding non-payments • **General Ledger Management:**

Maintain and update general ledger accounts, posting receipts, expenditures, and journal entries as required. • **Bank payments and Reconciliation:**

Set up bank payments for review. Prepare and complete bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between bank statements and internal records; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • **Account Reconciliation:**

Perform period-end reconciliations of all relevant business and general ledger accounts, including investigating and reporting variances. • **Documentation and assistance with audit:**

Ensure proper filing and documentation of all supporting materials, such as invoices, receipts, and contracts. Assist with any audit queries. • **Support Month-End Processes:**

Assist in preparing schedules, journal processing, and month-end allocations. • **Ad Hoc Projects:**

Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by management. • *Essential Skills & Qualifications** • Minimum 2 year of accounting experience • Working knowledge of debits, credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management • Can read and write German • Can work European time zones • *Desired (not essential) skills** • Can use Odoo software (not essential)
