Your mission

We have strong ideas – we need someone who can build them with us. As our Junior AI Engineer, you'll work directly with the founders to design, build, and ship AI agents and automated workflows that solve real business problems across our portfolio.

This is not a research role and not a prototype role. You'll write code that runs in production, used by real customers – and you'll learn how modern AI products are actually built, end to end.

Your responsibilities

• Build AI Agents: Develop and ship AI agents and agentic workflows that automate concrete tasks across our ventures – from financial analysis to customer-facing assistants.
• Implementation & Integration: Write production code, integrate APIs, connect data sources, and make sure everything works reliably together.
• Evaluation & Iteration: Set up evaluations, monitor agent behaviour, debug failures, and continuously improve quality, speed, and cost.
• Architecture Support: Contribute to technical decisions on stack, tooling, and architecture – with senior guidance, but real ownership of your scope.
• Cross-Venture Exposure: Apply your work across multiple portfolio ventures and bring patterns that work in one venture to the next.
• Stay on the Edge: Keep up with the AI ecosystem (new models, frameworks, tools) and bring the best of it into our work.

Your profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills – ideally in Python and/or TypeScript. You write clean, working code, not just notebooks.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or similar) – prompting, function calling/tool use, RAG, or simple agent setups.
• Solid grasp of APIs, web/cloud fundamentals, and how modern software systems are built and deployed.
• Bonus: experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, Mastra, or similar), vector databases, or evaluation tooling (Langfuse, LangSmith).
• Self-driven, curious, and excited to learn fast in an early-stage, multi-venture environment.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
