Join Paracel Laboratories as a Junior Analyst focused on Asbestos Testing in Mississauga. This hands-on role involves working with advanced microscopy methods and managing analytical workflows.
In this full-time position, your duties will include the preparation, identification, and quantification of asbestos samples. Under the supervision of the Department Supervisor, you'll employ polarized light microscopy (PLM) and phase contrast microscopy (PCM) to produce accurate analyses while ensuring adherence to QA/QC protocols.
Contribute to meaningful environmental projects with Paracel Laboratories in Mississauga.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preparation and analysis of asbestos air samples
- Utilize PLM for materials classification
- Enter and manage lab workflow data
- Implement the lab's QA/QC program effectively
- Assist in daily laboratory maintenance tasks
Requirements
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Science field
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in asbestos analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and quality standards
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
