Junior Office 365 Engineer – Elevate Program

Position Background:

We are hiring an entry-level individual to support one of our healthcare clients as a Junior Office 365 Performance Engineer. As an Office 365 Performance Engineer will join the end user services team to perform daily testing of Office 365 products, identify and escalate issues, analyze user feedback, and collaborate with IT teams and vendors to ensure optimal performance and a seamless user experience.

This role is part of Brooksource’s Elevate Program, which is intended for early-in-career individuals looking to grow and learn both technically and professionally. Throughout your first year, Brooksource offers exposure to technical training for enterprise technologies, opportunities for skill and professional development, cultural enrichment activities and mentorship through the Elevate program.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or other relevant degree, or 1-2 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Basic understanding of Office 365 products and performance testing
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with coding and debugging
• Experience with system administration and networking
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to learn independently and demonstrate curiosity

Bonus Requirements:

• Exposure to business process documentation or modeling tools (e.g., Signavio) is a plus
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other enterprise platforms is a plus
• Introductory experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus
• Interest in or exposure to Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled productivity tools is a plus

What You’ll Do:

• Participate in mentorship and learning opportunities, gaining exposure to enterprise review processes, documentation standards, and collaboration platforms
• Test Office 365 products daily on various devices to ensure optimal performance
• Identify, document, and escalate issues before they impact users
• Analyze issue patterns and provide insights for resolution
• Evaluate features from technical and user perspectives
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to ensure a seamless user experience
• Develop test cases and use cases based on end user interactions
• Provide daily/weekly ticket data, including demand patterns and ticket age
• Report on issues and root causes to relevant stakeholders
• List and track upcoming features from vendors with release dates
• Create content for newsletters and internal communications
• Provide technical documentation such as FAQs and best practices
• Communicate vendor-triggered issues to the organization
• Understand and evaluate user experience for functionality and responsiveness
• Collect and analyze user feedback to improve system performance
• Troubleshoot technical issues and debug code as needed
• Perform system administration and engineering tasks
• Utilize networking knowledge to support system infrastructure
• Work with Office 365 and G Suite, including co-authoring Google Docs
• Handle telecom-related tasks as required
• Manage identity governance and access controls
• Work with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Slack, Teams, and other collaboration platforms
