Position: Tier 1/Junior Cloud Support Engineer

Location: Johannesburg (Office-based only – local applicants only need to apply)

Type: Full-time, permanent

Reports to: IT Operations Manager

Requirements for the applicant: Matriculated with mathematics, obtained above 65% average for your degree or diploma, valid driver's license and your own vehicle to use for work-related travel.

The Role

We’re hiring a Junior Cloud Support Engineer with up to 2 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure. You’ll work on designing and supporting modern workplace solutions, managing cloud environments, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow in a supportive, technically strong environment and who is looking to study for one certificate after the other.

What You’ll Do

Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 solutions (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on networking and security

Handle migrations to Microsoft 365 (email, files, etc.)

Monitor system performance and ensure reliability

Document infrastructure and processes

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams

Log time and update tickets in Halo PSA

What You’ll Need

Up to 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Microsoft 365 expertise (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)

Microsoft certifications in Modern Workplace and/or Security (required)

Intermediate networking skills (VPN, TCP/IP, switching, firewalls)

DNS hosting experience

Basic scripting (PowerShell) and virtualization knowledge

South African IT qualification (advantageous)

Valid Code B driver’s license

Your own vehicle to use during the workday. Travel reimbursement with valid logbook will be done.
