For one of our clients in the greater Duisburg area, we are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer Embedded Systems / Product Security (m/f/d).

Your Responsibilities

  • Together with experienced colleagues, you will work on securing modern embedded systems and industrial products.
  • You will support risk analyses, security assessments, and vulnerability evaluations at the product and system level.
  • You will actively participate in the implementation of regulatory requirements and relevant security standards such as CRA, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001.
  • You will accompany security tests, vulnerability assessments, and the documentation of identified vulnerabilities in the development process.
  • You will support and maintain technical documentation, security concepts, and evidence for security-relevant product requirements.
  • In exchange with internal departments and external partners, you will work on security-relevant topics and issues.
  • Furthermore, you will support the modernization and further development of existing products as part of a technological product facelift.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, technical computer science, IT security, or comparable fields.
  • Initial practical experience in cyber security, embedded systems, or software development, e.g., through internships, working student positions, or projects.
  • Interest in product security, OT/industrial security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge in areas such as IEC 62443, CRA, security testing, or risk analysis is an advantage.
  • Technical understanding of software, embedded systems, or industrial products.
  • Structured and eager-to-learn working style.
  • Very good German and good English language skills.
