Our client, a rapidly growing cybersecurity firm, is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join their team as Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Apprentices. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands‑on experience in the field of cybersecurity. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning to protect computer systems and networks from threats. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining remote learning with in‑office collaboration and training sessions. You will gain invaluable practical skills and knowledge in a supportive and challenging environment.

What You Will Learn and Do

• Assist in monitoring network and system activities to detect security breaches or intrusions.
• Learn to analyze security alerts and events, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and controls.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises under supervision.
• Help in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Gain exposure to security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Learn about incident response procedures and assist in managing security incidents.
• Contribute to security awareness training for employees.
• Acquire foundational knowledge of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
• Shadow senior analysts to understand day‑to‑day cybersecurity operations.
• Assist in creating reports on security incidents and system vulnerabilities.
• Develop troubleshooting skills for security‑related issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
• A strong passion for technology and a keen interest in cybersecurity.
• Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and hardware.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship program.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Nigeria.
