Junior Data Analyst - Remote Insight Generation

Our client, a rapidly growing tech startup focused on innovative software solutions, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join their expanding team. This is a completely remote position, allowing you to contribute valuable insights from anywhere in Nigeria. You will work closely with senior analysts and business stakeholders to extract, clean, analyze, and interpret complex datasets, transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence. Responsibilities: Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop and generate reports and visualizations using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Support senior data analysts in building dashboards and performing statistical analysis. Help to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics. Communicate findings clearly and concisely through written reports and presentations. Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Maintain data integrity and ensure accuracy in all analytical tasks. Assist in the development and documentation of data processes and methodologies. Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest data analysis techniques and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and charting. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Basic knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Prior internship or project experience in data analysis is advantageous.
