Responsibilities

• Strengthening the Data Engineering team in the area of Data Driven Maintenance and operational data analysis of complex military weapon systems
• Development of components of our data processing architecture in Python or Rust, and if interested, contribution of further software contributions
• Automation of the processing of operational, maintenance, and repair data through robust, scalable data pipelines
• Working with suitable database systems, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring structured, consistent, and high-quality data management
• Contributing expertise in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization to ensure efficient storage, query, and processing concepts
• Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, pair programming, and testing
• Support of subsequent acquisitions and participation in the development of data-driven products and services

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or comparable field
• Technical expertise in Data Engineering, particularly in the development, operation, and further development of data pipelines
• Experience with database systems and their associated query and modeling concepts
• Knowledge of modern development and operating technologies such as Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
• Proficient in Python, knowledge of other programming languages such as Rust is desirable
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
