Junior DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes / Hosting (m/w/d)
Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG
About the role
About Us
We are 180 creative minds working here in Espelkamp on truly strong solutions for the web of tomorrow. Happiness for us means making life on the web as easy as possible for our customers.
We love web. We breathe code. We rethink hosting.
Our job is to look into the future. What is important to us? We want to make agencies & freelancers even better. Even more productive and efficient. We know their challenges and are partners at eye level. What else is important to us: Web hosting in the 21st century must be high-performance and flexible, but also sustainable. That's why our own data center processes data in a climate-friendly, secure, and efficient way – right on our doorstep. This is how we take responsibility for our actions. Every day.
Your Tasks
- You will shape the system environment of our web hosting products and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- You will further develop our Kubernetes-based hosting platform – stable, performant, and scalable.
- You will work on exciting use cases, such as storage provisioning on bare metal Kubernetes nodes and bare metal deployments.
- With creative approaches, you will develop new automations and improve the quality of our platform with your ideas.
- You are curious and open to new things, follow the latest developments in the open-source world, and try out new technologies.
About You
- IT is your passion and the tech world is your home.
- After your first experiments with Linux, containers, and cloud tools, you know – you want to work close to the system.
- You have already set up a server – whether for games, home projects, or simply because you wanted to know how it works.
- You spend every free minute in front of the computer – not just for gaming (okay, maybe that too), but to tinker with your own projects and build things that make your life easier.
- You want to get started, understand things, change them, and learn together.
You: "I don't know all the technologies mentioned." Us: "No problem! We share our knowledge and would like to get to know you."
What We Offer You:
Security & Perspective
- Permanent contracts, flexible working hours, an industry-standard salary, company pension scheme, and 30 days of vacation: We are looking for cool people for long-term cooperation at eye level and want to go through thick and thin with you.
Geek Paradise
- Whether Kubernetes, microservices, or React – you can do the really cool stuff with us. So that you can give your best, you are the admin on your device and have free choice of your hardware and workstation setup.
Active Part of the Community
- We are part of the Open Source and Linux community. We make parts of our stack freely available, actively develop open-source projects we use, and sponsor projects and events in the open-source context. And we support your community work.
Your Development
- We want you to reach your full potential. We actively support you through further training, courses, and our coaching offers. Do you see an exciting topic that will move you and us forward? Then take the time to deal with it.
Your Influence
- Thinkers wanted! We give your ideas space and are open to new things. This is how we continuously develop as a company. Do you want to make a difference? Contribute and give your thoughts free rein. We live real co-determination – regardless of role and title.
Health & Well-being
- You can look forward to offers related to your physical and mental health (such as Sportnavi, active break, etc.), our bicycle leasing, and corporate benefits. Of course, we also provide vitamins, caffeine & H2O.
