About the role
Overview
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is actively seeking a fully cleared Front‑End Software Engineer to join our highly skilled engineers on one of our many prime contracts. The selected candidate will build and enhance high‑visibility, collaborative web application tools used in the day‑to‑day mission across the customer enterprise and the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Your work will enable data to be updated and shared in real time, helping to drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security. Responsibilities • Stay at the forefront of data visualization by keeping up with trends, top tools, and emerging technologies; recommend, advocate for, and implement solutions that fit the mission. • Work in a collaborative and diverse team of junior, senior, and expert developers and mission leaders, mentoring and learning from others. • Collaborate closely with multiple product teams to design solutions from the user’s perspective. • Partner with UI/UX designers who manage the application's look and feel, and with Mission Outreach teams that provide direct user feedback for continuous product improvement. • Review and test software components, gaining experience developing comprehensive system, performance, and design plans. Experience and Qualifications
Required Education and Years Of Experience • 4+ years of software development experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution; OR • 8+ years of software development experience.
Required Qualifications • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. • Four (4) or more years of experience with web applications and/or front‑end languages and technologies. • Experience developing applications interfacing with REST‑based APIs/services. • Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience, including new software development, capability enhancement, software integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and defects correction; creation and editing of system documentation; assisting with test procedures; and translating user requirements into software requirements. Desired Qualifications • Experience writing Linux‑based scripts to facilitate application integration using server‑side languages (e.g., Shell, Python). • Ability to modify repository schema of an existing application, develop data mining and ingest processes, and support integration with middle‑tier and back‑end APIs. • Administering, maintaining, and implementing policies to ensure application security and integrity. • Experience working in an Agile development environment. • Experience managing software code with Git & Maven. • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Telework/Remote Availability : Hybrid work authorized depending on team.
Work Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD.
Summary Pay Range : $125,000 – $157,000.
