Junior-to-Intermediate Developer
Magenta Health
About the role
About Magenta Health
Magehta Health is building modern, technology-enabled primary-care clinics — and we’re looking for a junior-to-intermediate developer to help strengthen the internal systems that make high-quality care possible.
This role focuses on building internal web applications, paying down technical debt, and improving the secure, privacy-aware tooling that connects multiple systems across clinic operations. You’ll work within an existing microservice-style architecture and use Google Cloud tools to support real-world healthcare workflows that directly impact patients and providers.
You’ll join a small team of three full-time developers and collaborate closely with the clinic’s Managing Director to turn operational challenges into practical, scalable technical solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain internal web apps and operational tooling
- Refactor and modernize existing services to reduce technical debt
- Work across a microservice architecture spanning multiple systems
- Design secure, privacy-conscious integrations between tools and platforms
- Partner with technical leadership and clinic operations to improve care delivery
What we’re looking for:
- Comfortable working on web applications (front-end and/or back-end)
- Graduate of a relevant college or university program (computer science, software engineering, or similar)
- Junior developers should have some real-world experience (co-op, internship, or equivalent)
- Intermediate developers should have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong fundamentals — no requirement for experience in any specific web framework
- Interest in building reliable systems that solve real operational problems
Work & compensation:
- Full-time, fully remote
- Permanent
- Junior developers start at $54,000 CAD (subject to adjustment based on experience)
Why Magenta Health:
- Your work directly improves how clinics run and how patients receive care
- You’ll ship real systems used daily — not side projects
- Small, collaborative team with high ownership and real impact
Benefits:
- Dental care
- Extended health care
- Flexible schedule
- Life insurance
- Vision care
- Work from home
