Junior Internal Sales Assistant

The Role

We are looking for a recent IT graduate to join our Johannesburg office (Fourways) as a Junior Internal Sales Assistant. This is an entry-level, on-site role designed to develop the next generation of talent within our IT business. You will work alongside our Internal Account Managers and external sales team, supporting them across the full account lifecycle - from preparing quotations and processing orders, through to invoicing, CRM administration, and client communication. The role offers structured exposure to IT vendors, distributors, products, and enterprise clients, with a clear development path.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Internal Account Managers across day-to-day client account activities.
• Assist with preparing quotations, processing orders, and managing invoicing administration.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and account documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are correctly captured, scoped, and supported.
• Provide responsive, professional support to client and internal queries as part of the sales team.

What We're Looking For

• A completed undergraduate degree in Information Sciences, Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. Equivalent qualifications from recognised South African universities and accredited private higher education institutions are accepted. Suitable feeder institutions include (but are not limited to):
  • University of Johannesburg (UJ)
  • University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
  • University of Pretoria (UP)
  • University of South Africa (UNISA)
  • IIE Rosebank College, IIE Varsity College / Emeris, Eduvos, Boston City Campus, and other CHE-accredited private providers
• Strong interest in building a long-term career in IT sales, account management, or the technology commercial environment (rather than a purely technical or development path).
• Solid foundational understanding of IT concepts - hardware, software, networking, cloud, and business systems.
• Confident written and verbal communication; able to engage professionally with clients and internal teams.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). Prior CRM exposure is advantageous but not essential.
• A positive, coachable attitude with a willingness to learn the commercial side of the IT industry from the ground up.
