Junior or Trainee (SAIPA) Accountant

Introduction

An opportunity exists for a Junior or Trainee (SAIPA) Accountant to join a growing Accounting Practice on a permanent basis, to be office based in Somerset West.

The client will consider aspiring accountants who are still studying, bookkeepers with processing experience, or recently qualified accountants.

Salary R15,000 to R25,000 per month, dependent on skills, experience & qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting and processing up to trail balance.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monthly journal entries.
• VAT reconciliations (assistance with income tax and provisional tax submissions).
• Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements monthly.
• Preparation of year end schedules to support the preparation of annual financial statements as well as other admin duties.
• Preparation and timely submission of VAT and payroll
• Assist managers with various client matters
• Professional correspondence with clients and management
• Other finance and accounting duties as required from time to time.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping will be desired, but experience only in an accounting firm will also be considered.
• Experience in a professional accounting or audit practice is highly desirable, unless you are applying as a SAIPA Trainee.
• Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills.
• Own transport.

Package & Remuneration

R15,000 to R25,000 per month, dependant on skills and experience.
