As a Junior Petroleum Engineering Graduate Trainee, you will be exposed to various facets of petroleum engineering, including reservoir management, production optimization, and drilling operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects and learning best practices in the field. Your responsibilities will include assisting in data analysis, preparing reports, conducting literature reviews, and supporting the engineering team in day-to-day operations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to learning.
Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, obtained within the last two years. A minimum of a Second Class Upper Division is required. You should have a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and a keen interest in the upstream oil and gas sector. Proficiency in relevant software such as MATLAB, Aspen HYSYS, or reservoir simulation tools is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as you will be required to document findings and present them to the team. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are also crucial for collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. This is a full-time, in-office position, demanding commitment and dedication. Key Responsibilities: Assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing reservoir and production data. Support the engineering team in developing and executing well intervention and workover plans. Participate in drilling engineering activities, including planning and monitoring. Conduct technical research and literature reviews on relevant engineering topics. Prepare technical reports and presentations under supervision. Learn and apply industry-standard software for simulation and analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Adhere to safety regulations and environmental best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. Qualifications: B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Graduated within the last 2 years with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of relevant engineering software is advantageous. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. Willingness to learn and adapt.
