Junior Platform Engineer - Real-Time Data Systems (m/w/d) - J32930

Overview

You will join a tech-savvy team working on platform solutions for distributed real-time data, offering many development perspectives. You will contribute to components that provide robust data flows, APIs, and SDKs, creating real value for technical applications. You will learn modern system languages and data/ML stacks, such as system languages like C++, Rust, or Go, as well as data and ML tools like Python and MLOps approaches. We support your further development through targeted onboarding, regular feedback, and the opportunity to take on responsibility in projects. The work is hands-on, team-oriented, and offers scope for design and technical growth.

Your Tasks

• Develop components for a secure edge and platform environment for real-time data processing
• Implement APIs and SDK functions that are ergonomic for integrations and developers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Evaluate and test new technologies and architectural approaches for performance and reliability
• Support the development of monitoring and observability mechanisms for platform components
• Document implementations and create clear status reports for the team

Your Profile

• Possess a degree or comparable technical education with practical relevance
• Have initial experience in software development, ideally with distributed or asynchronous systems
• Possess knowledge in at least one statically typed language, e.g., C++, Rust, or Go
• Understand fundamentals of concurrency, fault tolerance, and messaging/streaming
• Have initial exposure to Python and ML/operationalization of models is an advantage
• Enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly, and learn quickly
