Junior Power Electronics Control Engineer (m/f/d)
EGSTON Power Electronics develops high‑end test systems for the future of energy, focusing on Power Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (PHIL) platforms for advanced power electronics. The team is young, international, and collaborates closely with universities, research institutions, and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate control algorithms for power converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC)
  • Model and simulate system dynamics (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, etc.)
  • Design and analyze closed‑loop control systems
  • Define specifications for firmware implementation
  • Perform hands‑on testing, debugging, and performance validation on hardware
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and deployment teams
  • Support system integration, testing, and optimization in real‑world applications

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics or similar
  • Solid understanding of control theory (e.g., PID, model‑based control)
  • Interest in both simulation and hands‑on lab work
  • Structured and solution‑oriented mindset

Skills

  • Control design (PID, droop control, filters like IIR/Biquad)
  • Simulation & modeling (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS)
  • Basic understanding of power converters
  • Lab experience (oscilloscopes, power supplies, analyzers, etc.)
