About the role

ABICOR Binzel USA, Inc., a leading welding equipment manufacturer, is recruiting for a Junior Product Manager. This role will be responsible for assisting in developing and executing strategic product plans with the Abicor Binzel USA Product group. This includes product ideation, development and lifecycle management. Internally, the Junior Product Manager will actively work and coordinate activities with multiple departments. Externally, the candidate will assist the Product team in making decisions by gathering the voice of the customer (VoC) inputs, typically gathered at on-site customer visits. This person must be a well-rounded team player comfortable with verbally communicating with others.

Essential Functions:

  • Analytic problem-solving skills, the ability to find solutions and remove obstacles are required; understand the impact of decisions, be a positive influencer, have high energy and passion for project execution, product development, collaborative, and adaptable to the needs of others. Can inspire others to get work done without direct authority.
  • Assist in the creation of go-to market strategies to expand and develop new products.
  • Identify early adopters (as partners) to work with who can help influence the modernization of existing and the development of new or existing product lines.
  • Assist in the definition of partnership agreements or joint projects/collaborations efforts.
  • Involve creating a strong partnership agreements or joint projects/collaboration efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or work-related experience.
  • Candidates must have a work authorization that would allow them to work for Abicor Binzel in the USA.
  • Open to travel up to 30% - customer visits, trade shows, conferences, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, engineering, or business.
  • Prior experience in product management, business development, sales, and/or product development.
  • Familiarity with industries such as general welding, automotive, structural, and/or shipbuilding.
  • Experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and word.
  • Experience in stage-gate or data-driven toll-gate process.
  • Can interpret CAD (2D and 3D) drawings, and GD&T concepts.
