Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client, a dynamic property development company based in Cape Town is seeking to appoint a Junior Project Manager to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of large-scale residential developments from early planning stages through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing large-scale residential housing developments from town planning and approvals through to project completion
  • Support the coordination of all project phases, ensuring alignment with approved scope, programme, and budget
  • Monitor project progress and assist in driving timely delivery of key milestones
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Help identify, escalate, and resolve project challenges to minimise delays and disruptions
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and administrative tracking
  • Support overall project governance and compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • BSc Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related built environment qualification
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in project management, preferably within large-scale development projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery stages
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with strong administrative capability
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving ability, particularly under pressure
