Junior QA Analyst (Web Applications)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior QA Analyst with a strong analytical mindset to support testing and quality assurance activities for modern web applications.

This role is ideal for candidates with early experience in software testing, web application validation, or API testing who can understand system behavior and ensure application quality across different workflows and integrations.

You will work closely with developers, product owners, and systems teams to validate functionality, identify issues, and ensure reliable delivery of API-driven and cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for web applications, APIs, and system workflows
• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, and JSON data using tools like Postman
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and support root cause analysis
• Review business and system requirements to ensure test coverage and functional accuracy
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
• Verify fixes and support end-to-end system validation across releases
• Assist in maintaining QA documentation and testing processes

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in QA Testing / Software Testing / Web Application Testing
• Basic understanding of: REST APIs and JSON
• Basic understanding of: Web application workflows
• Basic understanding of: Databases and SQL fundamentals
• Experience creating and executing manual test cases
• Familiarity with defect tracking and Agile tools such as Jira
• Ability to analyze system behavior, logs, and API responses
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities

Good to Have

• Experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts
• Familiarity with AI-powered or API-driven applications
• Exposure to browser developer tools and debugging techniques
