We are excited to announce that our Talent Acquisition team is growing! Our Talent Acquisition team is on the hunt for a talented junior recruiter that thrives in a growing team player environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly engaged and collaborative team as a Junior Recruiter , where we support independent growth and personal development.
This position requires onsite support 2 days a week in Herndon, VA
You will be joining a fun and hardworking Talent Acquisition growing team. We provide overall support to 3 Business Units. The portfolio of work consists of Serco's Corporate function, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Transitioning Service-members contracts. This position is full-time telework, but may require in-person attendance at local hiring events. The right candidate needs to live in DC, Maryland and or Virginia area. This role will report to a Manager of Talent Acquisition.
Responsibilities
Provide Candidate support :
- Utilize various assessment tools and techniques to evaluate candidates' suitability for the role.
- Communicate with candidates to provide updates on their application status and answer any questions.
- Perform initial phone or video interviews to assess candidate's qualifications and fit for the position.
Provide Hiring Manager support :
- Support between 10-15 Hiring Managers simultaneously.
- Support Hiring Manager with some guidance from TA Manager, Lead recruiters or Senior recruiters.
- Assist Lead Recruiters, TA Manager, and or Senior TA Manager with Hiring Manager status update meetings.
Receive Learning and Development:
- Participate in training sessions to learn and retain the recruiting processes, tools, and best practices.
Monitor and maintain Metrics
- Will stay on target with candidate movement metrics.
- Will stay on target with requisition time to fill.
Offer Management
- Recruiter will process/update offer letters in ATS.
Requisition Management
- Manage up to 30-40 openings at a time with assistance from a lead, senior recruiter or manager.
- Will create requisitions with minimal TA Manager assistance and low approval rejection rate.
- Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting job ads, and managing recruitment marketing efforts.
TA Systems Management
- iCIMS or a similar ATS understanding of basics in maintaining records.
- Update and maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and statuses in the applicant tracking system (ATS) with minimal mistakes.
Sourcing from external resources. (Job Boards)
- Will create Nurture Campaign with assistance.
- Conduct Direct employer’s weekly outreaches.
Strategic Recruiting
- Use strategic recruiting to support more challenging skill-sets with guidance from Lead or TA Manager.
- Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs with the assistance of Lead or TA Manager.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience
- Or a High School Diploma and 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
- 2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, ATS/Recruiting systems and HRIS databases
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in full lifecycle recruiting; (Candidate attraction, Sourcing, candidate screening, networking, assessing, as well as recruiting, pre-employment and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of OFCCP compliance
- A minimum of 2 years of Federal and/or State & Local government, contracting experience
- Proven creative ability in developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies, including online engagement, social media strategies, networking and more
- Exceptional stakeholder management and customer service skills
- 10% travel required
- The ability to adapt quickly to change
