JOB SUMMARY

This position is a vital role within an agile software engineering team dedicated to creating scalable software solutions across various digital platforms to meet our customers' needs. You will take a comprehensive view of solutions and contribute to the technical execution of products using the best technology stack for our platforms. As part of the software application build process, you will engage in idea generation, business analysis, technical design, and software development using cutting-edge technologies and design patterns.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
- Write code that meets established coding standards and participate in code reviews.
- Engage in idea generation and propose technical solutions to meet product features while monitoring project progress to ensure functionality, scalability, and performance remain intact.
- Collaborate within an agile work team, participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete tasks as required in the development phases of software applications.
- Contribute to story creation (e.g., Definition of Done, Acceptance Criteria, estimation) and manage tasks in software tools while keeping status and assignments current.
- Monitor progress against production schedules and regularly communicate updates, issues, or technical challenges to senior developers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required
- 1 year of experience in the design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
Including:
- 1 year of experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred), plus familiarity with at least two of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
- 1 year of experience in web services technologies, including REST, HTTPS, JSON.
Preferred
- 3 years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience as a Full stack JAVA developer.
- SQL experience.
- LINUX shell scripting proficiency.
Including:
- 3 years of experience in defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility to optimize both short-term execution and long-term capabilities.
- 3 years of experience designing solutions or developing applications in the healthcare sector.
- 3 years of experience translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into functional applications.
- 3 years of ability to produce code that is robust, efficient, and maintainable.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
- Experience with agile methodology, especially Scrum.
- Willingness and ability to learn new programming languages as necessary.
- Solid understanding of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, and operations.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Demonstrated passion for user experience and enhancing usability.
- Experience and willingness to mentor junior engineers and contribute to their development.

Pay Range
Minimum: $68,400.00
Maximum: $105,900.00
Base pay is influenced by various factors including qualifications and experience, as well as considerations for internal equity and market conditions.
