(Junior) Software Engineer

About the Role

For our client based in Rheinfelden (AG), we have been exclusively tasked with finding a (Junior) Software Engineer.

As a Software Developer at our client, the focus is on developing integration solutions that the company needs. This includes evaluating the existing IT infrastructure and its components to identify requirements and implement them for both existing and future systems. The goal is to ensure smooth interaction between systems, analyze user needs, and design corresponding software solutions to continuously optimize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of master data management systems and synchronization and merging of changes between internal systems and third-party business systems
• Development and maintenance of small web or mobile applications to simplify specific workflows for internal users and, in the future, for customers
• Close collaboration with internal users to analyze and resolve problems related to the developed systems
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams in the conception, development, and integration of new features within the entire software suite
• Participation in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of existing software applications
• Adaptation and further development of existing applications for bug fixing or performance improvement
• Support in the integration of complex system architectures comprising both legacy systems and modern platforms
• Identification, recommendation, and implementation of technical improvements to existing software solutions
• Coordination with other IT departments to clarify project requirements, technical interfaces, performance requirements, and system boundaries and capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent qualification
• 2-3 years of professional experience with several of the following technologies:
  • Programming languages: C#, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Cloud and integration solutions: Azure Logic Apps/Power Automate and Azure Functions
  • Web and mobile development: HTML/CSS, client- and server-side frameworks
  • Databases: SQL Server, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Version control and build pipelines: Git, any CI/CD systems
  • Data analysis and reporting tools: PowerBI, Looker
• Experience collaborating with teams at international locations
• Ability to influence at different levels, build credibility, and foster cooperative working relationships
• The work location is in Rheinfelden; occasional travel is required
