Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software systems to fulfill intricate business requirements.
• Write, test, debug, and document moderately complex software applications.
• Prepare detailed specifications for coding and program development.
• Conduct technical analysis and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Analyze existing systems to gather necessary information.
• Research new technologies and design approaches to address business needs, while assisting in project estimations.

Job-Specific Duties:

• Create functional software programs with well-documented code, aligning with client specifications.
• Resolve defects in both homegrown applications and third-party software as per guidelines.
• Develop scripts for creating and modifying database objects.
• Collaborate with Development Managers and senior developers on deliverables.
• Engage actively in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities like solution design and code reviews.
• Understand business processes and create test scenarios based on system requirements.
• Support production activities by monitoring system processes and reporting on system health.
• Work closely with supervisors to prioritize tasks and raise issues promptly.
• Document artifacts expected from SDLC and adhere to change management processes.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 0-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry-level position requiring knowledge of Object Oriented (OO) Programming and familiarity with RDBMS.
• Understanding of various SDLC methods including Waterfall and Agile.
• Awareness of current trends in information systems design principles.
• Ability to leverage online technical resources for assistance with challenges.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be able to work effectively in high-performing teams, showing logical thinking and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for up to 80% of the time.
• Capability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent use of computer and office equipment.
