Job Description

Sia is recruiting a Software Engineer to support the development of the Data Science Business Unit's activities.

You will be involved in Sia Partners' Data Science missions with our clients. You will support Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and DevOps Engineers on projects with a strong data component, aiming to contribute to the writing, testing, and integration of web applications. You will actively contribute to the backend, frontend, and software architecture of data-intensive applications.

The work will cover the following themes, with a focus on backend software development in Python (possibility to actively participate in other topics based on your knowledge and interest):

• Backend Software Development in Python: Development of microservices and server-side tools (database interaction, REST API server, authentication, ...)
• Docker: Containerization of applications for local development and production.
• Continuous Integration: Management of software continuous integration (writing tests, building artifacts, ...)

Qualifications

You have a degree from an Engineering School or a high-level degree in Information Technology and ideally have initial experience in Software, DevOps, Cloud, or Data Engineering.

• You have a good level of Python, allowing you to contribute to back-end applications.
• It's a plus if you have already used the Flask library.
• It's a plus if you have a good level of Javascript, allowing you to contribute to front-end applications.
• You are familiar with continuous integration techniques and tools.
• It's a plus if you master writing unit tests.
• You master a containerization solution such as Docker.

You are a meticulous Software Engineer:

• You have a "Zero trust" mindset: Before pushing a line of code, you always ask yourself if it is secure.

You have an appetite for data and AI challenges, the ability to quickly acquire skills in these areas, and are enthusiastic about helping our clients seize opportunities.
