You'll work alongside developers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure applications are reliable, user-friendly, and production-ready from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Review system requirements, specifications, and design documents to understand application functionality
  • Build detailed test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases covering standard workflows and edge cases
  • Execute manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and performance
  • Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
  • Analyze debug logs and assist with troubleshooting application issues
  • Re-test resolved defects to verify successful fixes and prevent regression issues
  • Collaborate with developers and project teams to improve overall software quality
  • Investigate production issues and help minimize impact to end users
  • Support Agile development and SDLC processes across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide feedback on UI and design documentation to improve quality and user experience

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of software testing or related IT experience
  • Experience creating test plans, test strategies, and test cases
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools
  • Experience with bug tracking and defect management systems
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with Agile development environments
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and compliant UI testing
  • Technical writing or requirements documentation experience
