Junior Wordpress Developer / Elementor
IdeaMarketing.ca
About the role
Before anything else: this role is about attention to detail and critical thinking. I've worked with people who charge a lot and still miss the basics, so I'd rather find someone earlier in their career who actually thinks carefully about their work.
You should know Elementor and have some working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Years of experience aren't important to me. What matters is that you can look at a project as a whole, figure out how the pieces fit together, and work through problems efficiently.
This is a junior position with lower starting pay, but it grows quickly with the right fit, and I'm open to a long-term collaboration. I'm happy to train on the technical side. The thinking part is on you. When you apply, start your message with the word 'pomegranate' so I know you read the full posting.
Role Overview
Building and maintaining WordPress websites using Elementor is the core of this role — translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, fully responsive websites, creating mobile versions from desktop designs, and possibly writing custom PHP or JavaScript when needed.
You will manage existing client websites, handle bug fixes, speed optimization, and occasionally work on Shopify or Wix. Publishing SEO-optimized content following provided guidelines is also part of the day-to-day.
You will work independently across multiple projects, follow instructions carefully, ask questions when needed, and use good judgment when details aren't specified. Attention to detail is essential — every page must match the design as closely as possible.
