(Junior/Senior) Analyst - Healthcare M&A

Role Description - Analyst M&A

We are seeking (Junior/Senior) Analyst - Healthcare M&A to join our team on a full-time basis at our Vienna, Austria office. In this role, you will be working and supporting on the end-to-end origination as well as execution of Buy- as well as Sell-Side M&A transactions. Your responsibility will include industry and company research in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, analyses of data and financial metrics to assess investment opportunities, supporting due diligence processes, creating strategic recommendations, and preparing presentations for clients. And you will collaborate with internal teams as well as external stakeholders with a focus on delivering clarity, expert insights and solutions.

Your responsibilities

• End-to-end execution support on Europe-wide M&A buy-side projects for healthcare and life science focused private equity firms as well as end-to-end execution of Europe-wide mid-market M&A sell-side (incl. financing and carve-out) transactions
• Support on developing and implementing M&A strategies and processes
• Research, identification and analysis of potential M&A targets/buyers for our clients
• Preparation of outreach and supporting documents (teaser, CIM, etc.)
• Support on coordination of multiple due diligence streams
• Together with our Transaction Team, we collaborate with investors and private equity firms throughout the entire transaction process incl. e.g. support on IC documentation
• Being part of the team in advising clients strategically beyond the deal execution

Your Profile

• Master's degree in (corporate) finance, business administration, economics or a degree in life sciences (pharma, biotech, chemistry, medical engineering, etc.)
• Ideally minimum 1 year of professional work experience in M&A (deal sheet consisting of 1-3 buy-side/sell-side transactions each would be a plus), or internships (for Junior Analysts)
• Knowledge or clear interest in the healthcare sector (pharma, biotech, medtech, diagnostics, healthcare provision); first experience in healthcare M&A would be a plus
• Entrepreneurial personality with a high degree of self-initiative and sense of responsibility
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
• Language skills: Fluency in English and German (C1), a third language is desirable (e.g., French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish)
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• First experience in handling deal sourcing/deal management software, esp. in CIQ/FactSet, BvD
