Responsibilities

As a team member of the R&D Department, you will work on the core components of the WCS (Warehouse Control System), which is the heart of every logistics system. As a (Junior/Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the conception and programming of new software processes in the WCS. Your tasks will include all control-relevant software topics for the complete automation of our systems:

• You will work independently in the team on the conception and development of software for highly complex logistics systems.
• You will accompany the entire development process from task definition through conception, programming, testing, and documentation.
• You will clarify technical questions with different specialist departments.
• You will occasionally undertake business trips to internal and external workshops.
• Rare and occasional commissioning of new developments are also part of the job profile.

Requirements

• You have a university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or data science.
• You are proficient in one or more programming languages, preferably C++ or SQL, and have basic knowledge of the Linux ecosystem.
• Source code management with Git, ideally in combination with Azure DevOps, is familiar to you.
• Your technical skills also include knowledge of relational databases.
• You have an open and communicative personality and speak German and English.
• You have an initiative and independent way of working and possess problem-solving skills, even with complex issues.
• Analytical skills and interest in logistical contexts characterize you.
• You are proactive, independent, solution-oriented, and can keep a clear head and prioritize tasks correctly even under time pressure.
