KDB Software Engineer

Technical Mastery

• 5+ years of intensive experience with q/kdb+ (functional programming, memory management, and vector-based logic).
• Polyglot Development: Hands-on experience developing robust interfaces and middleware using Java or Python, specifically for data ingestion or API development.
• UNIX Expert: Advanced proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments, including low-level system performance tuning, shell scripting (Bash), and process management.
• FICC Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Fixed Income products, FX pricing, or Commodity curves. Familiarity with global market data protocols (FIX, ITCH).
• Tier-1 Banking Background: Proven track record working within large-scale global banking environments, handling the rigors of high-availability systems and institutional deployment standards.
• Experience with KDB+ Cloud deployments or Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines in a global distributed environment.
