Position
Key Account Manager (m/w/d)
Location: Gunskirchen
Start: Immediately
Reporting to the Aircraft Business Manager and as a key member of a high‑impact team, our KAM will take ownership of Rotax's revenue and market presence. The chosen candidate will be responsible for all territory‑specific tasks, including active management of the whole allocated network and their accordant customers, lobby groups and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Key Account Management
- Fully independent management of all distributors and their respective network in the allocated territories and countries
- Derive local market strategy based on global strategy of the Aircraft Business
- Definition, support and control of yearly individual goals for each distributor including complete yearly assessment
- Handling of all distributor agreement relevant topics (commercially, legally and accordant audits)
- Fully independent management of all OEMs/end customers, aviation agencies and lobby groups in the allocated territories and countries
- Management of all ongoing Engine integration programs with all OEMs in the allocated territory (all commercial and organizational aspects)
- Manage to Increase Rotax understanding of the global piston engine market:
- Independent definition of necessary and relevant market studies
- Identification, summarization and analysis of existing statistics
- Derive actions and go‑to‑market strategies for future market share growth
- Autonomous lead organization of major events and exhibitions:
- Overall concept creation and yearly update
- Responsibility of the overall events budget
- Management of local execution of events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical/mechanical field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, managing the relationship with distributors at international level, within a manufacturing company
- Habit of working with a good degree of autonomy
- Strong analytical and communication skills. Organizational strength, empathy, and service orientation
- Fluent in English verbally and written
