About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Key Account Manager to support the development and launch of pharmaceutical products in Switzerland on behalf of our clients. GALSER provides operational and strategic support to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, with a strong focus on generic products and selected innovative therapies. This role is intended for a professional with a strong understanding of the Swiss pharmaceutical market, capable of combining field execution, market analysis, and structured business evaluation. It requires a professional who has direct experience operating in Switzerland, including negotiating and managing contracts with hospitals, wholesalers, and distribution partners.
You will contribute to the commercial development, market access, and distribution structuring of generic pharmaceutical products, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with hospitals, wholesalers, and distribution partners in Switzerland
- Conduct commercial negotiations and contractual discussions (pricing, supply conditions, rebates, distribution agreements)
- Contribute to distribution strategy and market access execution for generic products
- Build and maintain robust sales forecasts based on market data, volumes, and competitive dynamics
- Conduct market analysis focused on generics (pricing, competition, access pathways)
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities across the Swiss market
- Support product launches, including stakeholder engagement and commercial readiness
- Ensure structured reporting and pipeline management via CRM tools
- Maintain regular engagement with stakeholders and partners, building long-term relationships and identifying growth opportunities
- Represent the company in meetings, events, and interactions with healthcare stakeholders and key opinion leaders
- Provide structured feedback from the field to support internal decision-making and client strategy
Mandatory Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in the Swiss pharmaceutical market
- Mandatory: hands-on experience with generic pharmaceutical products in Switzerland
- Proven experience negotiating contracts with hospitals and/or Swiss distribution partners
- Strong understanding of Swiss pharmaceutical distribution channels (wholesalers, hospital procurement, tenders)
- Demonstrated ability to build sales forecasts and perform market analysis
- Fluent German and French (both required for daily operations)
- Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership
- Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining structured client data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A plus
- Background in pharmaceutical product launches in Switzerland
- Exposure to innovative products or specialty therapies
- Established network within the Swiss healthcare ecosystem
- Exposure to marketing or go-to-market strategy
- Other languages: e.g. Italian
Important Note
This position is intended for candidates who have direct, hands-on commercial experience in the Swiss generics market, including contract negotiation and distribution activities.
