Overview

Custom Ink is hiring a Strategic Account Executive to lead a dedicated industry vertical and grow enterprise relationships.

Workstyle: Remote

Reports to: VP, Strategic Partnerships & Verticals

Travel: Minimal, occasional business trips

Physical: Primarily sedentary, computer‑based role.

Responsibilities

  • Own a curated list of top, enterprise accounts in the vertical.
  • Prospect, expand, and close new logos while increasing revenue within existing accounts through solution selling and multithreading.
  • Translate vertical insights and market trends into actionable sales strategies and campaign initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing and Customer Success to influence demand generation, ABM campaigns, onboarding, and retention.
  • Drive customer retention and expansion, focusing on long‑term value, repeat business, and deep loyalty.
  • Serve as the vertical voice across the organization, sharing feedback, highlighting opportunities, and shaping go‑to‑market strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in a vertically focused or named account model.
  • Demonstrated success managing long sales cycles and navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder purchasing structures.
  • Consultative, customer‑first mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional prospecting, solution selling, multithreading, and relationship‑building abilities with executive‑level buyers.
  • Comfortable with high autonomy and accountability; owns the vertical and thinks like a business owner.
  • Data‑driven, using insights and tools to drive outcomes.
  • Deep familiarity with or strong interest in the assigned industry vertical.

How You'll Be Measured

  • Top‑line revenue and gross margin growth by vertical, including year‑over‑year trends.
  • Volume and quality of new business development activities (leads, outreach, demos, events, ABM follow‑up).
  • New customer acquisition and revenue contribution, with stack ranking and revenue per teammate.
  • Effectiveness of collaboration with Marketing and Customer Success on campaigns, onboarding, and retention.
  • Customer experience metrics (tNPS, CSAT, order accuracy).
  • Contribution to vertical strategy via insights, pipeline quality, and campaign participation.

Compensation

Salary: $103,500 – $120,000 (base) plus quarterly commission targeting $17,500, tied to individual and company performance. Placement within the range is based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
