About the role
Our client is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Agile Project Manager to oversee critical software development projects. This role is central to ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects on time, within scope, and on budget, using agile methodologies. As a fully remote position, you will manage distributed teams and collaborate with stakeholders across various departments and geographical locations. Your responsibilities will include facilitating agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), managing project backlogs, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. You will be responsible for risk identification and mitigation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing software development projects using Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching project teams on agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. A strong understanding of software development lifecycles, requirements gathering, and quality assurance processes is essential. You will work closely with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications are highly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on agile software development, is required. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional, remote teams is essential. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are a must. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is required. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, remote environment is crucial.
