AI Opportunity Development Lead

Role Overview

Join a high-impact AI strategy team driving real business outcomes for our retail client. As an AI Opportunity Development Lead, you?ll bridge business and technology?identifying, shaping, and prioritizing AI initiatives that deliver measurable value.

Working closely with business leaders, product managers, and AI/ML teams, you?ll turn operational challenges into scalable AI opportunities across merchandising, supply chain, store operations, digital, and corporate functions.

This is a strategy-first, influence-driven role?no direct build responsibility, but critical in ensuring AI investments are aligned, practical, and impactful.

What You?ll Do

• Identify and evaluate high-value AI use cases across the business
• Lead discovery sessions to define problems, hypotheses, and data readiness
• Build strong business cases (ROI, feasibility, impact) for AI initiatives
• Design and guide pilots/POCs with clear success metrics
• Partner with product & engineering teams to align on execution
• Track value realization and drive measurable business outcomes
• Stay ahead of AI trends and translate them into practical applications

What We?re Looking For

• 6?9 years in strategy, analytics, product, consulting, or AI-driven initiatives
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, and when to (and not to) use them
• Proven experience building business cases and measuring ROI
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Experience working with data science, product, and engineering teams
• Bachelor?s degree required
• Curious, forward-thinking, and passionate about AI?s real-world impact
