Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead AI Engineer to spearhead their AI & Emerging Technologies initiatives in Surrey, British Columbia, CA. This is a pivotal on-site role where you will lead a team of talented engineers in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions.

About the Role

You will be responsible for defining the technical vision for AI projects, guiding the team through the entire development lifecycle, and ensuring the successful implementation of machine learning models and algorithms. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable AI systems, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with product management to translate business requirements into innovative AI-driven products.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, data science, and software engineering, with a proven ability to deliver complex AI projects from conception to production. Expertise in programming languages like Python and experience with popular AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) are essential. You should have a solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are critical for guiding the team and interacting with stakeholders. A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred.
