Lead AI Engineer - Natural Language Processing (Remote)

Responsibilities: Lead the development and deployment of advanced NLP models and applications. Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms for various NLP tasks, including text generation, summarization, question answering, and dialogue systems. Work with large-scale text datasets, performing data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering. Optimize model performance, efficiency, and scalability for production environments. Collaborate with research scientists to translate cutting-edge NLP research into practical solutions. Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Develop and maintain robust APIs and microservices for NLP model integration. Ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of NLP systems. Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and AI research. Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection for NLP projects. Document code, models, and processes thoroughly. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP. 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a significant specialization in NLP. Proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Expertise in using NLP libraries and toolkits (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers). Strong programming skills in Python and experience with software engineering best practices (e.g., version control, testing, CI/CD). Demonstrated experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments. Excellent understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning architectures relevant to NLP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
